About Ms. Renaux
Where every child's curiosity is celebrated and every hand that reaches out is met with warmth, wonder, and encouragement.
Meet Ms. Renaux
Hello! I'm Ms. Renaux, and I love teaching kindergarten.
Early childhood learning is pure magic—full of discovery, laughter, and "aha!" moments. Entering my 26th year of teaching (and 9th at Westchester), my experience includes K–4 education, university instruction at Southern Oregon University, and creative writing and puppetry arts. I also founded Stories Alive, a non-profit empowering children through storytelling.
I advocate for hands-on, experiential learning that fosters self-empowerment and curiosity.
Outside of school, I love writing, outdoor adventures, and time with my wonderful family.
Our Classroom Philosophy
Learning happens best when children feel safe, seen, and excited. Our classroom is built on three simple beliefs:
Hands-On Learning
Children learn by doing. We explore with buttons, shells, bells, and all sorts of wonderful objects that spark curiosity and build fine motor skills.
Every Child Belongs
Our classroom celebrates every background, every learning style, and every unique personality. Diversity is our greatest strength.
Joy is the Goal
When children love coming to school, everything else follows. We laugh, we create, we wonder — and we grow together.
